Tee attended her first baby ballet class today.

For the clumsy gangster that she is, she actually performed quite well.

The class started off with some songs and hand actions. Extremely lady-like and graceful ones….very unlike us, I should say. So she learnt a new version of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. I wish I could act it out to you as describing it just wouldn’t do it justice. Take my word for it that it was very, very ‘siew cheh’ (lady-like).

Then she learnt how to sit like a Ballerina. Even I didn’t know that and I did ballet for six years.

From standing position, you get onto one knee (like you’re proposing to someone) with both hands on the knee. Then you release the knee so you’re on both knees. Then your butt falls onto the floor gracefully with both legs together on one side (called the mermaid pose), then you bring yourself to cross-legged position and sit upright.

I think it’s perfect discipline for Tee to sit upright and not hunch. I think it’s great that the teacher has to remind her to form a ‘V’ with her feet since she is so pigeon-toed (the real reason why we’re sending her for ballet). And I think it is SO CUTE for her to wear the whole ballet garb from the baby ballet shoes to the pink hairband; the little white chiffon skirt, the pink leotard, the ballet bun…….they even give you a ballet bag (to put your shoes) and a report book to mark your performance. All for a fee, of course.

I promise pictures once she gets her full ballerina outfit. *smile*

And no, she never went about chasing people for sales. She had a sophisticated system work for her through technology and a smartphone.

She now impacts lives authentically with proven strategies amassed through the last decade of her own transformation offering online coaching programmes and always supports the underprivileged. She believes that we can all have a life of our own desires to enable real contribution into the world. But first, one needs to understand what this all means.
