Buying gifts for kids

Posted on April 10, 2012 by Mamapumpkin

I really don't like buying gifts for kids but yet I love giving gifts to kids. Get it? I just don't like commercial gifts. So if you don't get a toy from me, I am sorry. You might get a pre-loved toy or a hand-made toy, but I.......click to learn what next.

Last year, I was fortunate to be invited by T1's school to attend one of their programmes with children that were meant to spark the entrepreneurial spirit within all the kids. It was one of the most fantastic experiences! As an employer, I wanted to hire these kids!.......click to learn what next.

Lately, the idea of homeschooling has surfaced and I have been actively researching it. There are many misconceptions of homeschooling in Malaysia and before one makes any assumptions, one should really do some reading about it before allowing your eyeballs to bulge out and heart to stop for.......click to learn what next.

Angry Bird Party

Posted on April 8, 2012March 11, 2012 by Mamapumpkin

Angry Bird seems to have fizzled out quite a bit, huh? When I first played it, I was hooked for all of 2 weeks. I get bored easily......I will play like crazy until I win, then quickly lose interest. But when Angry Bird was all the craze LAST.......click to learn what next.

Villamaria Pre-School

Posted on April 6, 2012March 11, 2012 by Mamapumpkin

The Hubs and I have heated arguments over sending T2 to school. He feels she is still too young, or really too tiny, to attend school. I'm telling him that despite her size, she'd be ruling the classroom! He prefers the British Nanny to coach her for now.......click to learn what next.

Inhibiting you child’s creativity

Posted on April 5, 2012April 4, 2012 by Mamapumpkin

Some children are naturally born creative. Some are not. But that's not to say that creativity cannot be developed or Edward De Bono would be out of business. If you were to give some children some generic toys such as building blocks, or semi-circular donut rings or octagonal.......click to learn what next.

My Little Dare Devil

Posted on April 4, 2012March 11, 2012 by Mamapumpkin

T2 has always been a dare devil. Foolishly fearless. Yup. She'd jump off a cliff if you asked her to. For the fun of it! Whilst in Kota Bharu, the girls each had their size appropriate bicycles (me included, heh! Remember??) But after learning how to ride her.......click to learn what next.

Girls Playing Dress Up

The Suite at The Danna, Langkawi

Another gripe I have of The Danna is again for their website designed for geniuses only. Seriously, it is NOT a user friendly website. Thankfully for us, we didn't make our own bookings or I would have gone ballistic! There is too much choice of rooms (which is.......click to learn what next.

Shopping Spree with Baby and Me!

Yesterday, baby and I spent a whole 7 hours together at a shopping mall and she did not sleep a wink. You'd think that a little toddler of 2.5 years old would get tired after being awake and stimulated for a few hours at a mall, no? But.......click to learn what next.
