One of the things I’ve always wanted to do was to attend a masquerade ball. Unfortunately, the opportunity never arose and so till today, I have still not had that chance to don some Venetian masks, but oh, I am so dying to do so! I have the dress ready, alright!!! Of course, whether I can still fit into them ball gowns now is another matter altogether.
When I was younger, my good friend Linda, who is a professional dancer, owned this beautiful, BEAUTIFUL mask that was made of angelic white feathers and white sequins with a tint of silver dust and lots of beaded work which was all crystal clear or white. It was GORGEOUS!!! And she had kept it perfectly in a beautiful box. Because she is an artist, she has an entire collection of dance costumes too and needless to say, an entire collection of Venetian Face masks that are all well stored in her dance studio in Ampang. Whenever I need a costume of some sort or some accessories for a costume party, I just have to give her a ring and go there to pick up an outfit of my choice. If you want to rent a costume, let me know. She has an entire room filled with dress up stuff to the nines; perfect for a fantasy photo shoot or simply just to attend a great party.
Speaking of parties….I’m itching to attend one now. Would anyone like to invite me to one??? Preferably one where I can don a masquerade Venetian mask? Just because it’s so mysterious and exotic……don’t you think?
