Just before bed tonight as usual, Tee said her prayers that included a long……………….list of thank you’s. It’s good, this thank you thing. It reinforces her gratitude for certain things in her life, like her wonderful Mommy and her best Daddy, ever.
Since her list was especially long tonight, I asked her if she wanted to ask God anything, hoping to get into that little mind of hers. And she waffled on for another 5 minutes about what was wrong with the TV.
“What’s wrong with the TV?” I asked.
“There’s something wrong with the TV!!”
“Which TV?”
“The one outside in the living room!”
“But it’s working!?”
“Yes, but sometimes it’s not. It always has that small alphabets on it and it really makes me mad!”
“What small alphabets?”
“The small alphabets which I can’t watch my show. I only want to watch 613, six….ONE…..THREE…..not anything else. And I get so frustrated because the small alphabets are there!”
“You mean the name of the channel? Like AXN?”
“NO!! It says Video 1 and Video 2 and Video 3 goes all fuzzy!! Then I can’t watch my show!!! Does God know why?! Because I really need to fix the problem..”
At which point I burst out laughing. I explained to her that that happens when Astro isn’t on. Video 1 is for Astro and she needs to turn on the Astro remote before she can watch her show and Video 2 is for her to watch her DVDs. Oh….she said. What about Video 3? I didn’t know what Video 3 was so I told her it’s just nothing. Then she asked what about Video 4?
