Yes, I knew it wasn’t going to last. Who me? Jewellery? It’s just not me…..plus as a full-time hands-on Mother, I’d only be asking to scratch myself and baby all over with sharp objects. Sadists. Think Angelina Jolie in that movie…..what’ it called? Not Single White Female but…..? Darn, my memory is just non-existent ever since I became pregnant.
Instead of wearing all the lovely gold that has been given to me (obviously I never buy), a few months ago my Mom told me that the prices of gold were at an all time high and to sell any items that I didn’t use or didn’t like. I thought of MANY, including Tee’s little one inch diameter bangles and bracelets presented during her full moon. Can I do that? I feel bad to sell presents. *worried look*
Actually, if anyone wanted to buy me gold, I’d prefer if they’d just me buy gold coins. Then I can just keep it as an investment and my heart won’t be so sentimental when it comes to trading it. The former head of a leading international bank once told my Mom that she should diversify her investements into fixed deposits, property, cash, shares and other growth investements like unit trusts and commodities (like gold). She has done just that. I, however, do posess any gold bars or gold anything yet apart from my jewellery. Something for me to think about.
I also just learnt that I could invest in Silver since more and more silver jewellery is becoming ‘the in thing’. Apparently the demand of silver more than meets supply right now.
