How many of you are guilty of calling someone up on the mobile, then asking them where they are instead of how they were?

I certainly am.

It must be that my life is so boring that I crave to know what the rest of the world is up to, even if they are in the pooper having a shit. Well, if you’re in the pooper, then why are you answering your phone? Which brings me to the next question – how many of you actually answer your phone whilst in the washroom? Or worse, one hand on phone and the other on bidet? EWE.

What has happened to society? A friend of mine brought this up today.

Whilst she was driving on the way to a meeting where her meeters were early, they called to ask her where she was. Kindness had overtaken and they wanted to know if they could pre-order breakfast for her before she arrived. Later, the phone rang again and since the background was thundering with hysterics, the caller wanted to know where she was, curious that he was missing out on all the action. You mean you’re having an Orgyparty without me???!!!

Despite me asking people where they are (I blame it on my beloved Mother for giving me deep-rooted fears of asking people HOW they are because whenever I ask her how she is, it isn’t pleasant), I actually take offense when people ask me where I am. Sorry to say, such double-standards that I practise. I like my privacy. But I have a blog. You go figure. And my take on that is, you don’t have to tell me where you are but I will ask anyway. Look, I am practising the art of asking How Are You. Honest. These things take time.

So how do you feel when you call someone and they really are in a washroom? You know they’re there because…….you just know! It sounds all echo-y. And then they flush. EWE. Awful thoughts always cross my mind. What about you?
