There is this company that has developed a hand sanitizer that does not use alcohol and that is all well and great because if only they’d come up with it when Tee was going through her hand sanitizer addiction phase, I’d have bought a dozen bottles of it at a go.

Recently, they had a marketing spiel that started with….“Most hand sanitizers are not suitale for Muslims as they are alcohol-based.”

Now THAT pissed me off. Talk about being an opportunist. They need a new marketing manager as they’d have been better off marketing it at a different angle – kids!

My parents are both Muslim and they tell me that Muslims are not allowed to CONSUME alcohol, that is….they cannot DRINK it or EAT it. But they can sure as hell touch it. Even those pig-skin lining shoes at Ferragamo??? I assure you, Muslims CAN buy those if they can afford it. *pssst Ms Fang, commission please? OK, free pair of shoes will do….I’ll take last season, no problem*

Back to being Muslim and alcohol. I honestly hope Muslims in Malaysia know their religion and not be brainwashed by hogwash, especially here where people make things up as they go along.
