A lot of young or inexperienced people still don’t get it that you need to do the work first before you can succeed. They think they are smarter and have a better way. Some are so lazy it’s not funny and some are born rich that they do not want to do the work because it is beneath them. I know of some rich Millennials who are crazy stingy and for the longest time, I couldn’t figure out why! These guys have hundreds of millions to their name yet to buy a 3-4 figure product or give 2 figures to charity is really a stretch for them.
Then I found out the real reason. They are so rich that they’ve never really worked and having never worked, they don’t really have the experience to know how to earn and because of that insecurity, they need to watch their money for as long as possible to the end of their lives. I get it!!! But earning money is not so difficult, yo! If only you’d try!
Coming back to millennials, they all want short cuts and quick fixes. They would start something only to give up in 3 months or less. They are impatient and calculative. They do not see that if you gave over and above, their efforts would be rewarded. To be fair, it also depends who their employers are but usually I choose to believe in karma. So even if one employer chooses not to see your efforts, you would still be rewarded somewhere along the line.
Karma is real.
As a successful entrepreneur, my advice to millennials is to work hard. Work harder than you’re worth and learn all you can whilst working. Do not work blindly. Work with all your senses open so you become knowledgable, resourceful, experienced, sharp and learn to sniff out opportunities whenever they present themselves!
A person who works at a bookshop that sees 10-50 customers a day could simply key in the transactions of the day and serve customers and then play his phone all day, or he could go over and above. What do you think he could do?
