If someone told me a secret and told me to not tell anyone, the secret is kept safe with me. I am not a gossip and I do not need approval being extremely steadfast in my own conviction.
But you know what the problem is with that? There is too much load that I keep everything inside, everyone’s secrets whether right or wrong, I have to bite my tongue and just withhold information knowing full well if someone outside the secret is lying or not. But that’s just the way it is.
So I have been wondering if these secrets are meant to be kept forever or if they can be released after a person’s death. It is not to gain anything myself but if I felt that the information made someone happier or is beneficial to another, should I then release it? The parties holding these secrets are already in another world yet strangely they are still communicable. Spooky-Doo!
Do you have any secrets? I don’t. I am an open book and have lived my life as openly as possible because I am a lousy liar and have a terrible memory so there is seriously no point for me having any secrets.
Why do people keep secrets anyway???
It all boils down to insecurity, doesn’t it? It is the fear of what someone else may think or do if they knew.
If you are young still, live a life that is filled with honesty (especially to yourself) and integrity so you never have to hide anything from anyone.
I am so missing my dearly departed friends, all of whom shared deep secrets with me. I loved them and I understand their needs to have those secrets, but I am now frustrated that because of them, I now have secrets.
Their secrets have become my secrets…..
