Music is a great way for kids to develop in many, many ways. From even before birth, when music is played, a foetus is able to connect brain neurons and be stimulated. Music has been known to produce smarter kids. With T1, I was busy puking my guts out during pregnancy so never had the chance to play her any baby music but she had her first real dose of music when she was 6 months old in the form of Kindermuzik classes. She loved it.
With T2, I was also puking my guts out and because I was already busy with TWO kids, never really got the chance to nurture her musical interests. However, she’s caught on naturally and shows a keen interest in the piano, dances to the beat whenever a tune comes on and happily tries to learn lyrics from adult songs that she likes!
T1 currently takes piano lessons but recently she’s been talking about the school orchestra and in particular how her friends play the fantastic clarinet so well! At T1’s school, many of the kids take up 2 instruments, usually the piano and the violin,but I thought that it was a bit much and would rather spend that extra time just chilling with the kids. Tiger Mom I am not and certainly neither is Amy Chua. I reckon she was just smart enough to take everyone for a ride, just like the shady grey author. Heh. But that’s just in my honest little opinion……….

She believes in the MLM business model but realises the DRASTIC PITFALLS and great stigma attached to it, understanding EXACTLY WHY the majority would shy away (or RUN for their lives) from ANY MLM business. But open your eyes and take time to understand it intellectually, remove your hang-ups, confirm your research, and you may just want to seize an opportunity. She did. And no, she never went about chasing people for sales. She had a sophisticated system work for her through technology and a smartphone.
She now impacts lives authentically with proven strategies amassed through the last decade of her own transformation offering online coaching programmes and always supports the underprivileged. She believes that we can all have a life of our own desires to enable real contribution into the world. But first, one needs to understand what this all means.
