Step By Step All The Freaking Way.....

As I bid my 2 year old farewell….

Posted on August 31, 2006 by Mamapumpkin
Tee, of late has been choosing others’ company to mine. While that finally means HURRAY for me (more reading time, more writing time, more anything ME time!), I can’t help but feel responsible that……maybe I am not entertaining her enough. Maybe I’m not interesting enough. Maybe I’m just.......click to learn what next.

My Daughter Thinks I’m a Magician

Posted on August 29, 2006 by Mamapumpkin
Do your kids think that too? Whenever Tee wants to watch a TV programme of HER choice, like Barney or Noddy or Baby Einstein or High 5 or The Wiggles or Teletubbies or Thomas.......she will ask me for it. All well and good if the programme is on.......click to learn what next.

My contribution to Niagara Falls

Posted on August 28, 2006 by Mamapumpkin
Visualise this: I sit in an empty bath tub facing the taps. I put Tee in front of me and turn the taps on. And because she fights with me for the shower head, I pull it behind me and leave it there as the water runs. Then.......click to learn what next.

How to make an American Paper Bag

Posted on August 27, 2006 by Mamapumpkin
One thing I wasn’t used to when living in the US was the American grocery paper bag. Coming straight from London where all my groceries were walked home in white plastic carry bags, the paper bag seemed flimsy, difficult to carry and not leak proof. OK, I know.......click to learn what next.

Bathroom Time

Posted on August 26, 2006 by Mamapumpkin
15 minutes tops for me – I don’t do morning showers. I used to pre-baby but no more. In fact in 15 minutes, 10 is spent brushing my teeth really well cuz I love food too much to risk losing any teeth. If I throw in a shower.......click to learn what next.

Books that I connected with

Posted on August 25, 2006 by Mamapumpkin
My earliest memory of reading was 4 years old. I was at kindergarten when Christopher (a boy shorter than I) read me a book in attempt to impress entertain show off. But because I could actually READ, I wondered what the hell he was trying to achieve. I.......click to learn what next.

Gangster in my family

Posted on August 24, 2006May 20, 2009 by Mamapumpkin
who is a mouse, really...... It's T I'm talking about. Her mannerisms are loud and rambunctious. She doesn't talk to herself. She yells to herself. There is not a quiet moment when she is awake or around in the same 100 square meters. She sings, she makes up.......click to learn what next.

T-Shirts that will put an American Quilt to shame

Posted on August 24, 2006 by Mamapumpkin
Let me tell you a little secret of The Hubs. He still has T-shirts dating back to 1985 (the pile he got from Michigan, which I've mostly thrown out without his knowledge) and 1995 (the pile he got from New York City, which I'm planning to throw out.......click to learn what next.

Broken Records

Posted on August 24, 2006 by Mamapumpkin
When my Father-in-Law went on about my Mother-in-Law sounding like a broken record, I sniggered whilst a secret elation filled me that I was included in this little family ring of 'let's take the piss out of MIL'. They were in their 70's after all and forgetting that.......click to learn what next.

Countdown to the biggest event of the year!

Posted on August 21, 2006May 20, 2009 by Mamapumpkin
My little pumpkin's 2nd birthday...... The Hubs complained that this birthday was bigger than the grand wedding of our local pop princess, Siti Nurhaliza (which is all over the local news at the moment), ever since I started making him help out. All I needed him to do.......click to learn what next.

My accidents history

Posted on August 18, 2006November 23, 2011 by Mamapumpkin
When I was 10, I smashed through a glass door running at full speed whilst being chased by a friend. I became famous overnight and ended up with little scars thankfully in discreet body locations with about 30 stitches. When I was 12, I slipped and fell over.......click to learn what next.

Laughter is GREAT for the soul

Posted on August 14, 2006 by Mamapumpkin

CHANGING THE WORLD MOVEMENT

I love green

Once upon a time, she designed buildings and interiors of corporate offices and on the rare occasion, homes. Now, she cleans poop and is student of a patience management course. From the drawing board as a London Architect to the realities of Motherhood, she has certainly learned many lessons in humility. And then others…..

To succeed in the corporate world, first succeed with your kid as the happy boss. Seriously.

I love green

This blog is about Mamapumpkin: A strong, kick-ass Mom who works full time juggling several jobs – the full-time paid job, the raising of her 2 kids (she gets paid in kind for this) and the volunteering job for various charity organisations and parenting websites. Needless to say, she gets very little sleep (3-5 hours per day, Margaret Thatcher who used to sleep 4 hours per day during her conservative career inspires this crazy lifestyle).

Mamapumpkin intends to change the working Mom landscape in Malaysia where working women can bring their children to the corporate office of a client and not be frowned upon.

I love green

She writes about anything that comes out of her head but mostly seeks to inspire and share about all things that will bring benefits to others.

Her 2 girls drive her towards challenge after challenge, 24/7…..day after day…..and interestingly, her parents are Muslim, her in-laws Buddhist, she’s Catholic and her Hubs, an Atheist. She’s thinking her kids should be Hindu, just to complete the rainbow religion cycle.

Gotta love it.

She’d love to hear from you : Mamapumpkin at gmail dot com
