The Chinese believe that should you cut (or rather, TRIM) your baby’s eye lashes, they will grow longer and curvier. I have witnessed this in friends’ kids but haven’t/hadn’t the guts to do it with my own kids. But then again, their natural eye lashes are long and curvy enough. What do you reckon? Can you tell who it is up there?

i heard the same too n tried on belle when she was sleeping. i think she was only 2yo then. she does hv longer n curvier eyelashes, so i thought lar. until the rest come along, with no trimming. clarissa has curvier but shorter. barnabas has long with no curl. ezra’s, long n curl up. conclusion, dont put your child in danger. it is in the genes. 😉
Good timing on this topic. My baby who is still so ‘botak’ at 7mo has just got me considering of shaving her hair although most of the people thought that I have already done so. Just to get luscious hair in future.. And now, with Miche’s confirmation above, we shall wait patiently then :)Hehe.
I never shaved any of my kids hair / eyelashes before, but as u can see, Belle has so much hair & long lashes. Even her bro, lashes so long till he looks like a girl. 🙂
i have long eye lashes, AHEM AHEM… longer than most chinese ladies, i have to say, curvy? well, ok lar.. not like the indians, but at least not ruler straight like koreans… well, i tell u the secret.. no need to snip snip snap! when i was T1’s age, and super super vain, i used to pull my own eye lashes every day, and that i believe was why my eye lashes are longer, and curvier than my older sis. : P

I used to have a classmate who plucked out all her eyelashes donno for what reason. Don’t dare ask. But she looked really odd!
