After a year, my Blackberry’s batteries started getting weaker and weaker till I decided I needed a new battery. The options were A – to get a brand new original battery costing RM180 or B – to get a made in China battery costing RM50. The Hubs bought me option B after being reassured by the sales guy that there was absolutely no difference. Sometimes, I believe that if you pay peanuts, you get monkeys. Well, the China battery lasted all of 3 days before it started performing exactly if not worse, than my already weak original battery. In the end, I chucked the China battery and went back to my original battery. I don’t want to spend RM180 on a new battery so for now, I’m just charging the phone in the car wherever possible.
So when it comes to quality IT peripherals, perhaps it is better to get original stuff like those you get at Optimization-World.com. Honestly, dealing with faulty cables that you keep needing to fiddle with and card readers that are wonky and USB sticks that are moody are really not my cup of tea. I’d rather pay for quality and know that they work.
Right now, I need a USB extension cable to connect the PC to my phone and also a DVI to HDMI converter to connect my laptop to our large plasma screen and I know exactly where to get them. No made in China stuff for me! I like watching clear, smooth movies; not fuzzy ones and I certainly don’t mind paying for good quality IT peripherals.
