These days, there is insurance for everything, even wedding insurance. Yes, you heard right. And it makes so much sense. Why? Because just imagine, after months of planning, all that time spent and then worse, all the money you’ve put down on deposits like the booking of the wedding venue, and the flowers and the honeymoon resorts, the car rental, the photographer bookings, the dress, oh, the dress!!! Can you just imagine, if one of the suppliers suddenly went bust and closed shop? Or if your ten thousand dollar dress got damaged in a fire? Or what if a tragedy happens that screws up your wedding just like mine?! If you don’t know my history, 9-11 happened just before my wedding and that threw off our wedding guests from New York. The Hubs was from New York. All his friends are from New York. As you can imagine, we were frantically on the phone trying to get each and everyone of our wedding guests out of New York but only managed the best man. Phew. At least we had our best man…..
I didn’t know about wedding insurance then. I’m not sure they even had it then but certainly now, if my daughters were to get married one day, I’d make sure they subscribed to the best wedding insurance for the happiest day of their lives. At least then if they had a mishap like mine, they could have recovered some cost from a whole chunk of guests who were unable to attend the wedding due to some crazy extremists.
