Have you ever wondered or noticed, that in Malaysia anyway, the female washrooms are always further away than the mens? Why is that? It truly irks me. Women have a harder time going to the toilet. Women are the ones usually with children. Women…..gosh, do you need me to describe the steps a woman has to take when she does a public toilet wee? Let’s not even go there……
My theory is that mostly, it is men who design these shopping malls and plan the entire space. Thus why their toilets are always closest and most convenient.
I have been in Perth for a week now but have still not stepped into a shopping mall yet but will do so at some point this week to see if we have the same occurence here. Does anyone know why??? Why do they make us walk 10 steps farther when we are the ones who need them more urgently, and take much longer???
**************************************************************************Who is Mamapumpkin?
Mamapumpkin spent 7 years in London committing crimes to gain her Bartlett degree in Architecture. She then spent 7 years as a Stay At Home Mom raising her children as documented in this blog of over 15 years thereafter returning to the Corporate World stronger than ever as the Country Director of a British Multinational. She sets out to prove to all, that you can have anything and everything that you want; if you have that fire of desire burning within and the drive to work hard. Even better with much love.
Mamapumpkin has not only grown corporate businesses successfully in the past but has grown not one but TWO network marketing businesses in the notorious MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) industry, achieving success in under 2 years. She believes in the MLM business model but realises the DRASTIC PITFALLS and great stigma attached to it, understanding EXACTLY WHY the majority would shy away (or RUN for their lives) from ANY MLM business. But open your eyes and take time to understand it intellectually, remove your hang-ups, confirm your research, and you may just want to seize an opportunity. She did. And no, she never went about chasing people for sales. She had a sophisticated system work for her through technology and a smartphone.
She now impacts lives authentically with proven strategies amassed through the last decade of her own transformation offering online coaching programmes and always supports the underprivileged. She believes that we can all have a life of our own desires to enable real contribution into the world. But first, one needs to understand what this all means.
A beautiful life without limits.
If you wish to learn some tools to propel your life forward guaranteed, be brave enough to make contact as her life's purpose is to build people. She operates through a discovery call after which she will commit to helping you. Or not.
Most lose out on an opportunity because they are afraid they would be sold to, conned or whatever fear resides in their brain without even trying. And that's on them.
Mamapumpkin is a living testimony that women really can have a lot. Being financially and time free has enabled her to travel the world anytime, anywhere, doing anything, and she spends most of her days with her children, having fun, and supporting others wherever she can. Also having fun.

very simple logic… it’s a good idea to have the women’s washroom further so there is no peeping tom or men who purposely walk slower just to sneak peep into the ladie’s.
aiks! i always thought it’s designed that way so we can take a peep at the buzz of activities going on in the men’s when we walk past? no? i should kick the habit of turning my head to that direction next time then. 🙂
actually i also noticed that.. in cineplex and in shopping malls.. bec they put the guys one nearer to the ladies.. so that the men wont pass by and look inside.. or purposely pretend to go into the ladies! But u know what? I have gone to the men’s toilet by ACCIDENT 2 times liow!! paiseh or not… hahaha…
I assume it’s located further in so man don’t have to pass by ladies and peep or “Sneak in”!! wild guess.. but i guess most people think it’s for that reason..
Ikano and BV right ? I hate that too !!!
Contrary here in Perth. If you go to Myers in Forest Chase, you’d find that there are no MENS toilets on a certain floor..just the ladies and a big parents’ room. So if you’re a man TOO BAD. But all ladies and mens toilets are close by here..no peeping toms..i never thought of that. But it could be a possibility, that might explain why they’re never together in m’sia..?? aahhh..i hate public toilets anyways.
My reason the same as Irene’s. 🙂
They have no reasons to go beyond their toilet.
