Apart from the popular haunts of Barcelona and Madrid, Caceres (a two hour drive south west of Madrid) is worth a visit because it has a potpourri of mixed styled architecture from the rich history of wars that were fought there. It was declared a World Heritage City by UNESCO with the Torre de Bujaco (Bujaco Tower/Clock Tower) as it’s most noted Arabic Tower. Then driving slightly north west of Madrid, you must see the grand Muralla de Avila, an amazing castle like wall that will regurgitate memories of a Spanish Robin Hood. And no, she never went about chasing people for sales. She had a sophisticated system work for her through technology and a smartphone.
