During the course of my flash short lived career, I’d received several calls from head-hunters shopping around and hanging bait in front of my blindness in order to tempt me with more err……job satisfaction?
The earliest and first meeting with an executive search firm was when I’d been in KL only two years. It was before Tesco came into Malaysia. The lady who interviewed me drilled me, and to say I wasn’t intimidated at the nubile career age of twenty-six, would be lying. Tesco needed a project manager to oversee the construction of it’s pioneer store in Puchong. I didn’t get the job after a display of uncertainty.
Several phone calls later from other head-hunters for various positions over five years, I finally made a fit. The fit was so right that I got the salary I demanded. At twenty eight years old, the year I met the Hubs, I was earning more than 10k and buying a lot of designer handbags. Unfortunately, I had to give that job up because we really wanted to have Tee when my mother got diagnosed with cancer; and after two miscarriages, the Doctor advised me to quit.
I am amazed till today how the head-hunter found me and made me beat some glowing resumes (ALL MEN) to the job. The company loved me and I got promoted real quick. OK, I won’t blow my own horn. It was only because I was pretty, OK?

Mamapumpkin spent 7 years in London committing crimes to gain her Bartlett degree in Architecture. She then spent 7 years as a Stay At Home Mom raising her children as documented in this blog of over 15 years thereafter returning to the Corporate World stronger than ever as the Country Director of a British Multinational. Mamapumpkin has not only grown corporate businesses successfully in the past but has grown not one but TWO network marketing businesses in the notorious MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) industry, achieving success in under 2 years. She believes in the MLM business model but realises the DRASTIC PITFALLS and great stigma attached to it, understanding EXACTLY WHY the majority would shy away (or RUN for their lives) from ANY MLM business. But open your eyes and take time to understand it intellectually, remove your hang-ups, confirm your research, and you may just want to seize an opportunity. She did. And no, she never went about chasing people for sales. She had a sophisticated system work for her through technology and a smartphone.
She now impacts lives authentically with proven strategies amassed through the last decade of her own transformation offering online coaching programmes and always supports the underprivileged. She believes that we can all have a life of our own desires to enable real contribution into the world. But first, one needs to understand what this all means.
