Now, how many people do you know would give up their day home from work just to take care of your kids instead of spend quality time with their own, just so you could have a break?
I don’t remember having a break since monthsssssss……. ago when my pregnant Italian friend brought her preschooler round to take care of MY kids.
My day was so happy when a certain lady told me she was bringing me lunch, and not just any lunch, lunch that my tummy craved for:

And as though she read my mind, she also brought tons of cooked vegetables (which we finished and loved) and enough food for dinner. There was no need to cook dinner, yay!
When I was greeted at the door, I was ecstatic because how did she know that sunflowers were my all time favourite flowers??? She didn’t, but God must have clued her in subconsciously. Sunflowers were all over my wedding, in case you weren’t there…….

And when she brought a bottle of this out?

I was in tears……
I really, really didn’t expect all this and to think that she’s a very busy working Mom (at one of the International banks) of 3 boys, I was truly touched. But there was more!
She spent the entire afternoon entertaining my kids. I didn’t have to say a single word to T1 (I usually have to ask her to be quiet about 673 times a day). She played with T1 so much that T1 loved her and didn’t want her to leave. I was thinking to myself, half worried that this lady was so going to CRASH for HOURS when she got home, and anxious that she would stop being my friend after this episode of giving. Really.
T1 was so demanding, not allowing her to stop playing at any time. They played pretend – T1 was a catwalk model wannabe and had applied for an audition at this modelling agency, got the job and was made to scrub toilets and clean windows, as she had to start directly at the bottom. It was hilarious watching them play and I needed my inhalers from laughing so much.
T2 was good too, allowed her to carry and play with her without fuss. She does not allow just anyone to carry her, so I was very thankful. Because if there is one thing I’ve had enough of, it’s this crazy, demanding BABY OF MINE!!! Of course, when guests are here, T2 is ever the lovely angel………but trust me, the horns come out at night.
I present to you, the lady who helped REALLY MAKE MY DAY.

Don’t you think she bonded so well with my kids? If you didn’t know any better, you’d think she was the Mother of my kids, wouldn’t you?
Thank you so much, Paik Ling. T1 was so sad when she left that she quickly wrote her name down on her magna doodle, just so she could remember this aunty’s name as a special aunty. Of course, she got the spelling wrong!

It is friends like these whom I live for. It is when you are in deep trouble that you really know who your true friends are. And I am truly blessed to have a couple of friends who will go out of their way to make my life simply AMAZING.
I salute the act of true friendship. Thank you to all you people, of whom I can call upon, and whom I can classify as my friend.
Friendship holds no bounds. Here is a piece I like about friendship:
Friends are the flowers in the garden of life
They help you through times of trouble and strife
There’s nothing like friends to make a heart sing
True friends will share with you most everything
They will not abandon you in times of need
They aren’t overcome by envy nor greed
Friends are the icing on life’s great big cake
Real friends will give and allow you to take
I don’t know how I would survive without friends
They applaud my beginnings and mourn my sad ends
Tell me please, tell me please, what would I do?
If I didn’t have a garden full of friends just like you!

Mamapumpkin spent 7 years in London committing crimes to gain her Bartlett degree in Architecture. She then spent 7 years as a Stay At Home Mom raising her children as documented in this blog of over 15 years thereafter returning to the Corporate World stronger than ever as the Country Director of a British Multinational. She sets out to prove to all, that you can have anything and everything that you want; if you have that fire of desire burning within and the drive to work hard. Even better with much love.
Mamapumpkin has not only grown corporate businesses successfully in the past but has grown not one but TWO network marketing businesses in the notorious MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) industry, achieving success in under 2 years. She believes in the MLM business model but realises the DRASTIC PITFALLS and great stigma attached to it, understanding EXACTLY WHY the majority would shy away (or RUN for their lives) from ANY MLM business. But open your eyes and take time to understand it intellectually, remove your hang-ups, confirm your research, and you may just want to seize an opportunity. She did. And no, she never went about chasing people for sales. She had a sophisticated system work for her through technology and a smartphone.
She now impacts lives authentically with proven strategies amassed through the last decade of her own transformation offering online coaching programmes and always supports the underprivileged. She believes that we can all have a life of our own desires to enable real contribution into the world. But first, one needs to understand what this all means.
A beautiful life without limits.
If you wish to learn some tools to propel your life forward guaranteed, be brave enough to make contact as her life's purpose is to build people. She operates through a discovery call after which she will commit to helping you. Or not.
Most lose out on an opportunity because they are afraid they would be sold to, conned or whatever fear resides in their brain without even trying. And that's on them.
Mamapumpkin is a living testimony that women really can have a lot. Being financially and time free has enabled her to travel the world anytime, anywhere, doing anything, and she spends most of her days with her children, having fun, and supporting others wherever she can. Also having fun.

aww….what PL did was simply wonderful. she’s such a kind soul π
I cried like a baby (at work!!) when I read this post. I didn’t think I was worthy of a blog post – plus it was such a long one because really, I didn’t think I did anything extraordinary. Anyway, nothing makes me happier than being able to put a smile on a friend’s face. I had a tremendous time with T1 & T2 (but yes, I DID crash out THAT night!) because they are both such wonderful children. REALLY!! I would like a copy of the photos you took of me with them, please. Then I know how I would had looked like if I had daughters π
