I arrived one early weekday morning in Bangsar after dropping Tee off at playschool and actually found a parking spot right outside BV2 on the same road as the police hut. Actually, the parking spot found me. At 9am in the morning, parking is stress free in Bangsar.
Two hours later, as I walked towards my car with bags in tow, I noticed my car blocked in by a brown beat up Wira.
Kanina….
My eyes laser beamed 360 degrees to source out the inconsiderate thing that parked illegally beside me, but all I saw were two ladies standing 15 feet away waiting to be picked up. So I…..
Scene 1: Open door vehemently and fling bags onto passenger seat.
Scene 2: Sink driver’s car seat by two feet towards the core of the Earth by slumping ass on it.
Scene 3: Pull driver’s door shut.
Scene 4: Lock driver’s door when stranger knocks signalling that I dropped my watch. He repeatedly points to ground and shows me my watch. My exact watch. Shit! I dropped my watch!!!
Scene 5: Right hand moves towards window button to open window. Left hand reaches towards window to retrieve watch. Brain is very grateful that kind man alerted me about said watch.
Scene 6: Eyes notice glaringly left hand six inches away from face that exact same watch is indeed on hand. Brain plays tricks. Contact lenses must be due for change. Stranger knocks on window harder and starts pulling at door handle.
Scene 7: Brain panics. Stranger looks like he’s about to break window. Eyes look around but nobody else in sight for at least 50 meters.
Scene 8: Start ignition clumsily but can’t drive out because car caged in. Start honking like mad.
Scene 9: Stranger walks away quickly into BV2. Another stranger appears from nowhere and drives off brown Wira.
Scene 10: Body shivering. Drives shakingly to playschool.
Later, the Hubs told me that I can honk even without starting the car. Duh. And he warned me to always stop, turn around, walk back a few steps and then walk front again, in looking out for suspicious characters following me, every single time I’m about to head towards my car.
Bangsar Village, my friends…..40 feet away from the Pondok Polis.

Mamapumpkin spent 7 years in London committing crimes to gain her Bartlett degree in Architecture. She then spent 7 years as a Stay At Home Mom raising her children as documented in this blog of over 15 years thereafter returning to the Corporate World stronger than ever as the Country Director of a British Multinational. She sets out to prove to all, that you can have anything and everything that you want; if you have that fire of desire burning within and the drive to work hard. Even better with much love.
Mamapumpkin has not only grown corporate businesses successfully in the past but has grown not one but TWO network marketing businesses in the notorious MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) industry, achieving success in under 2 years. She believes in the MLM business model but realises the DRASTIC PITFALLS and great stigma attached to it, understanding EXACTLY WHY the majority would shy away (or RUN for their lives) from ANY MLM business. But open your eyes and take time to understand it intellectually, remove your hang-ups, confirm your research, and you may just want to seize an opportunity. She did. And no, she never went about chasing people for sales. She had a sophisticated system work for her through technology and a smartphone.
She now impacts lives authentically with proven strategies amassed through the last decade of her own transformation offering online coaching programmes and always supports the underprivileged. She believes that we can all have a life of our own desires to enable real contribution into the world. But first, one needs to understand what this all means.
A beautiful life without limits.
If you wish to learn some tools to propel your life forward guaranteed, be brave enough to make contact as her life's purpose is to build people. She operates through a discovery call after which she will commit to helping you. Or not.
Most lose out on an opportunity because they are afraid they would be sold to, conned or whatever fear resides in their brain without even trying. And that's on them.
Mamapumpkin is a living testimony that women really can have a lot. Being financially and time free has enabled her to travel the world anytime, anywhere, doing anything, and she spends most of her days with her children, having fun, and supporting others wherever she can. Also having fun.

Bangsar pasar malam, less than 40 feet away from the Pondok Polis, was where my N73 was nicked from my napsack! By an old lady with heavy makeup, pressing against my back, on the pretext that she is rushing and trying to get through the crowd! Blardy hell!!
Many thanks for alerting us to this modus operandi mama pumpkin. This would definitely make me more wary.
Yeah its dangerous out in Bangsar…beware and careful…
How scary. Glad you’re okay. I would be shaking too.
phew! that was so close…thank goodness you are okay
oh btw, i have a nice award for you…
So close to the police pondok, yet so brave. What is KL coming to? HUGS! Fortunately, you stayed calm enough to honk and you’re alright.
The pondok polis is of no use there. The other time, my car window was smashed and the police were there and he tole me in a smiling face that it happens all the time!!!! Thanks for warning us. I park at that spot pretty often.
*gasp* they are coming out with new tricks everyday. was it just a coincidence that the watch was the same as yours, do you think? otherwise they’ll hv to wait forever to get a good target with the same watch.
being on your guard is good, but then you can walk front and back until your legs fall off but still can’t prevent this situation from happening. they probably won’t appear until you have entered your car. ever consider dropping into the nearest police station with your husband as escort and report the matter? it could at least raise their awareness that such a thing is going on and maybe you can save another woman’s life.
thank God you got away unharmed. really need to be extra careful nowadays. bad people are everywhere..::be alert at all times::
Thank God you’re all right. What has KL becoming to? I mean, it wasn’t all safe and peaceful when I was growing up, but at least most of these assholes only attacked during night time and not near the pondok polis. Gosh, what does this say about the polis in M’sia…..truly sad. Well, be extra careful next time. I guess it’s better to be alert all the time than to rely on those useless polis.
Why so scary one??
