T2 frowning, wondering why the Confinement Lady Monster is putting on such a BIG shirt on her. Did she not request for baby fashion ala Vogue? Fitting clothes is in season!!! What is she thinking??!!!

My little T2 has recently learnt how to protest!!! Yes, I can see LOTTTTTTTSSSS of fights happening with Tee once she starts getting mobile. Whenever I’m breastfeeding and I start talking to someone else, she will huff and puff and then start whining but the moment I stop, she’s quiet. And then when I start talking again, she’ll start huffing and puffing again….do you breastfeeding Moms go through this? Does talking stop the flow of milk or something????

T2 was born 2.4kg. When we got discharged from the hospital, she was at 2.2kg which is normal as babies always lose their birth weight. At 3 weeks, she has finally made the 3kg mark – yahoo!! Which means she has put on 800g in 3 weeks, which is pretty good I think. We were so worried about her weight previously because the Doctor kept saying that she shouldn’t lose any weight as she was already tiny.

I’m guessing that she can see things more clearly now as she can start at toys by her playpen and can follow fingers movements. She also knows how to turn her head following voices and knows how to get her way, whether it be changing her diaper, going for a walk, being carried and cuddled or being fed.

She can also turn to her side full body so it’s already becoming dangerous to leave her on surfaces where she can fall off from.

She is not latching on perfectly as she had a bout of oral thrush recently in her mouth that threw her off for a few days and those were the days which I was awake from 2am to 6am. For a whole 4 days, people!!!

Now, her latch seems to be erratic. Sometimes she latches on at first try, sometimes it takes a whole 5 minutes and she starts getting really frustrated. Another problem we face is slippery surfaces that makes it difficult for her to latch on. Sometimes there is too much milk that smears all over my nipple and her mouth, chin, cheeks; a real messy affair mixed with her saliva, and then latching on becomes a nightmare. Also, her hands are always in the way when I want to see when her mouth is open wide. Tell me, how do you do it???
