Every morning, the Hubs drives Tee to school in a rush. This little girl, she takes an entire 40 minutes at least, to get herself ready with breakfast and all. From our place, he has to make a slight detour to her school and then zoom off to KLCC. But despite the rush, he still doesn’t drop her off at the school’s front gate. No…….
Instead, he parks a hundred meters away, and makes her walk a hundred meters to school. With him, of course. He has several reasons for this. He feels that parking a distance away is faster than fighting the queue with the other Moms in doing the drop off at the gate. It is a continuation of his Daddy-Daughter time from the drive from home. He told Tee it is their morning stroll together, something special, a walk to school. He wants her not to be lazy and spoilt. She needs to use those legs!
Recently, Tee came home complaining that she is the only kid that has to walk to school and all the other kids get dropped off in front. At most, they have to cross the street with their Mommies or walk just a little bit from their cars, but her? She has to walk a full marathon. It wasn’t fair. Her leg muscles were so strong now and her hand muscles never get used. We should tell Daddy that we need to strike a balance – one day walk, one day carry. Carry? We? Since when did I get involved in this? Carry? How old is she now?
I told her to discuss it with her Dad and she immediately brushed it off knowing full well that she’d never get anywhere with him. He was a strict Dad after all despite how much he adores her.
That night, I told the Hubs about Tee’s complaint and urged him not to be so tough on her. He gave me that look. That look which said, “Stop babying her!” But she is my baby……
So as it stands, Tee is still strengthening those muscular thighs and calves on a daily basis without any more complaints. What about you? Do you spoil your children this way or do you make them work?

She believes in the MLM business model but realises the DRASTIC PITFALLS and great stigma attached to it, understanding EXACTLY WHY the majority would shy away (or RUN for their lives) from ANY MLM business. But open your eyes and take time to understand it intellectually, remove your hang-ups, confirm your research, and you may just want to seize an opportunity. She did. And no, she never went about chasing people for sales. She had a sophisticated system work for her through technology and a smartphone.
She now impacts lives authentically with proven strategies amassed through the last decade of her own transformation offering online coaching programmes and always supports the underprivileged. She believes that we can all have a life of our own desires to enable real contribution into the world. But first, one needs to understand what this all means.
A beautiful life without limits.

Most lose out on an opportunity because they are afraid they would be sold to, conned or whatever fear resides in their brain without even trying. And that's on them.

Hi there. First visit here, loving it : ) Gooly is a boy, so it’s easier to toughen him up just a lil.. If he were a girl, I shan’t think so..:D
err..we make ashley work…hehehe. however, once in a blue moon, hubs or I would carry her, when she’s too tired from walking in the mall 😀
My fart still wants to be carried. 15kg, no joke !! We force her to walk on her own but sometimes we give in. Afterall, she’s our one and only and in no time, she’ll be taller than us.
Carry? Are you kidding me? Oh..the back-ache!!!
I normally make my kids walk. Then again, they love to walk..must be the weather here la..
hehehe.. Megan and I walk around the mall, once a week 🙂
I make my boys walk too, no more carry. Even, few months ago we went for the Hong Kong trip, i make them walk a lot till i feel guilty 🙁 but no choice they still have to walk.
We do try to carry her whenever she wants to be carried. I used to make my mum carry me too when i was my daughter’s age and i still cherish those moments.(I’m a big time mummy’s girl).
