Unfortunately, this is where Tee’ school is located and this has happened on the very road where her school is too so to all you mothers who have your kids at Tee’s school and anyone else who wait around the Medan Damansara area, please be warned.

Recently, a new tactic of motorbikes would hide a piece of magnetic explosive in their mouths whilst on the lookout for targets. Once they find their target, they’d slowly ride past your car, spit the gadget out of their mouths and gently place it on your car window (it’s like a magnet and sticks onto your car window). This is done so fast that you don’t even realize it whilst the motorbike continues his ride. Little do you know that he will then press a button and in a flash, your window explodes, you are in shock, he rides back quickly and steals your handbag or laptop or whatever it is you had in your car that he had attempted to steal. And before you know it, he’s gone.

The golden rule is, if you’re waiting for your child, be aware of your surroundings. If you see a motorbike or passer-by walking pass your car, look at them in the eye and prepare your car to be moved, just in case. Alternatively, move your car backwards and forwards when they approach so they won’t even target you since you are not stationery. It is unfortunate, but it is real, and happening.
