This place is always busy. Always!!! Located beside AmBank on Jalan Telawi Tiga, this famous banana leaf place was recently featured on NTV7 and I’ve always had a good relationship with it. The food is good enough and service is friendly. What more, it is located nearby in Bangsar.
Unfortunately, they did not have any nasi lemak today when I went with my dear friend. But even more unfortunate was the fact that we both came out having diarrhea!!! Alamak!!! After our brunch, we both tended to our duties with our daughters and an hour later, she smsed me to say that she felt like vomiting and wondered how I was feeling. I told her that I always felt like vomiting ever since I hit my 3rd trimester due to the diabetes control or lack of.
I ate a full blown banana leaf rice with a barley and a coffee, which I did not finish even though I had asked for a really small portion because this tummy of mine is completely squashed by the baby. There is no more room for food! She only had 2 coffees.
Half an hour later, it was my turn to sms her to say I had had diarrhea! She called me immediately to say that she just had it too!
Oh my…..we deduced that it must’ve been the milk that went into the coffee, which now when I think of it, did taste pretty strong. *sigh* I think I should just really stay away from eating out for a few weeks. But how when I am so greedy?
**************************************************************************Who is Mamapumpkin?
Mamapumpkin spent 7 years in London committing crimes to gain her Bartlett degree in Architecture. She then spent 7 years as a Stay At Home Mom raising her children as documented in this blog of over 15 years thereafter returning to the Corporate World stronger than ever as the Country Director of a British Multinational. She sets out to prove to all, that you can have anything and everything that you want; if you have that fire of desire burning within and the drive to work hard. Even better with much love.
Mamapumpkin has not only grown corporate businesses successfully in the past but has grown not one but TWO network marketing businesses in the notorious MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) industry, achieving success in under 2 years. She believes in the MLM business model but realises the DRASTIC PITFALLS and great stigma attached to it, understanding EXACTLY WHY the majority would shy away (or RUN for their lives) from ANY MLM business. But open your eyes and take time to understand it intellectually, remove your hang-ups, confirm your research, and you may just want to seize an opportunity. She did. And no, she never went about chasing people for sales. She had a sophisticated system work for her through technology and a smartphone.
She now impacts lives authentically with proven strategies amassed through the last decade of her own transformation offering online coaching programmes and always supports the underprivileged. She believes that we can all have a life of our own desires to enable real contribution into the world. But first, one needs to understand what this all means.
A beautiful life without limits.
If you wish to learn some tools to propel your life forward guaranteed, be brave enough to make contact as her life's purpose is to build people. She operates through a discovery call after which she will commit to helping you. Or not.
Most lose out on an opportunity because they are afraid they would be sold to, conned or whatever fear resides in their brain without even trying. And that's on them.
Mamapumpkin is a living testimony that women really can have a lot. Being financially and time free has enabled her to travel the world anytime, anywhere, doing anything, and she spends most of her days with her children, having fun, and supporting others wherever she can. Also having fun.

oh dear. hope you are better now.
sure it’s the coffee ?
Hi there! Just wanted to share that I had a craving for banana leaf rice when I was 6 months preggie last year, went to Nirvana, and ended up with vomitting and diarrhea so severe I ended up getting hospitalised for a day in Pantai Hospital, with a lecture from my ob gyn about how preggie ppl should watch what they eat 😛 Never made it back there, even after I popped. Shame, though, cause I used to love love love the deep fried bittergourds there. Still, that whole getting drips in Pantai thingy has kinda soured my whole view of the food in Nirvana 😛
heard so much about this place, but never been there. I can see the place always full of people.
*pssst..you stay in bangsar? I can see/read you always “hang out” in bangsar. :P*
