We are off for our usual staycation to watch the Merdeka fireworks and the Hubs wants me to rest because I haven’t had much of it this year and the onset of my illness began last December! What a joke, right? The amount of money I spend on hospital bills, seriously thank the Heavens for Young Living.
I have been letting some people down due to me claiming back time just to heal my body and do the things I really need to do like run errands, organise my home and a million other things. Always, I am putting others first and always saying yes, ok or yes, can. It is demanding because people do not know my situation so keep expecting me to participate and honestly, if I was having a good day, I am more than happy to support my friends but unfortunately the bad days can show up at anytime and then what. I am so scared of letting them down if I had to cancel something at the very last minute. Also, what do you do when 50 people invite you for 50 things? Yes, prioritise, go for all, none at all, or just pick some. And then when you go to one but not another, drama starts. You can never win.
BUT. This is my truth.
The ones who bitch about you because they feel you give more to others and not them, are the ones who deserve even less of you because they should not even have that expectation and claim to your life in the first place. The ones who think that they deserve your space because they happen to contribute positively to you, yet bitch about you when you do not deliver, are also less deserving because they have an entitlement mentality and we should never have an entitlement mentality. The ones who feel they do not benefit from you so you are not worthy of their time despite the reality of you helping them so much perhaps not directly in the exact way that they wish, they just haven’t seen the world enough apparent from such backward cognisance. These are just some of my daily dealings with women for the last 5 years. Groan…….
Do I care? No. Am I a bad person? Yes.
People will believe what they want to believe anyway so there is no point giving them control over what they perceive, AMIRIGHT??? Ladies, I am trying to show you here that as much as you get hurt with drama from your friends, always remember that the real people stick with you with zero agenda and the rest are just noise. EVEN if you spared them all your gifts, they are STILL going to bitch about you whether you are right, wrong, or in between, and even if you’re not relevant!!! This is because they are them. So let them be them.
We all have our journeys of a million steps and we cannot expect women who have not learnt step 356,783 to understand. Does that make sense? Once she has reached that very step, she will come to her own realisation that dissing you was wrong, but until then, just have grace and live your own life to the fullest.
What others think of you should have zero weight on your life. It is what you think of you that is the most important thing in the world. Reclaim your power, ladies!!!
