So many ways, where do I start?
If you don’t already have a blog, then a few things to note when you plan to start a blog with the intention of making money is to have a good blog name. What is a good blog name? Shucks, till this day I don’t really know, hahaha…
I THINK.
It is when you have a url name where people would always find you. Like “howtomakemoney.com” because people are always wanting to know how to make money. And then a good blog name like “$$ Make Money Fast”. I’ve noticed that when your blog name starts with a number or a symbol or the first letter of the alphabet, your chances of readership are higher, merely because when people list you on their blogroll, it is automatically done in alphabetical order. Thus your blog name will show up on top and people are more likely to click on the first few names than on the last few names.
That’s all I know about choosing a blog name. I totally didn’t choose my blog name following any of these rules because I only learnt them much later.
Once you have your blog up and running, the next step is to write as much as you can before you start inviting people to visit your blog. Decide also what you want to write about and the frequency you want to write. It doesn’t matter if you write 10 posts a day or 1 post a week or 3 posts a week, just as long as you keep it regular; so that your readers know when to come back for new posts.
You also need to decide your blog topic, and if you want to make your money through loyal readership or through search engine magnets. Or a mixture of both. Loyal readership requires very hard work because honestly, how many people are free enough to return back to your blog regularly to read you because they really, really, really, really LIKE what you have to write. So unless you think you have star quality that will attract lots of readers because you write about having sex on rainbows, you’re probably better off writing about stuff people actually want to know about, like how to make a damn cool Christmas card this Christmas.
