Today is the 2nd day that I’ve traipsed to Ikea this week, I’m all Ikea-ed out. We bought 2 single beds for the girls and they took forever deciding. It finally came down to 2 beds and one had black drawers and the other white. T2 insisted she wanted the one with the black drawers. T1 wasn’t fussed. I wanted the one with white drawers so we had an argument about why she thought the black drawer one was better. Finally, I realised why!!! It was because the duvet on the black drawer bed was PINK!!! So I switched the duvets and tadaaaaaa………..!!!!

We bought the white drawer beds. And because the girls wanted their new beds ASAP, like NOWWWWWWW…….no way could they wait in line for the Ikea Truck to deliver their brand new beds (they are Royalty after all), so we struggled like heck to get these super heavy boxes home ourselves. I tipped the guy at the Ikea parking lot RM10 just to help us load together with the Hubs, those bloody heavy boxes. You should have seen me all huddled up in the most professional contortionist position just to fit 2 damn beds into an SUV.

Then of course, when we arrived home, the Hubs was pressured to fix them immediately. It took all of 4 hours to fix one bed, I kid you not. But over the internet, I read that other people took 8, so the Hubs must be good. However, after that 4 hours, he no longer wanted to fix another bed but guess what? We discovered that the beds that we bought were actually drawer beds too.

WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought 2 drawer pull out beds which had drawer storage as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So now we have FOUR beds!!!!!!!!!

Sleepovers, anyone?????

Anyway, the bed plan has worked as T2 is officially in the bedroom with T1 and they are both FAST ASLEEP.

Let’s see how long they last but they had an added incentive today. Air-cond!!! Usually, we don’t turn on the AC to sleep because we live beside a jungle and it is cold enough as we are on a hill.

So since the girls were out in their own bedroom, the Hubs had some time to calculate his expenses and that is when we discovered that I had paid for 3 Ikea trolleys instead of 2. Sigh. That’s the problem with not checking your receipts.

So tomorrow, I guess I’ll be going to Ikea for the 3rd time this week. I just know it is meant to be that I will meet a gorgeous man who is the hunk of the century and has so much money that he will just give me a few million USD just because. Just so I can put behind me all the money that people owe me to rest and give the rest of it to the Children of Myanmar. Yes, there must be a reason why I am forced to go to Ikea three times this week.
