I’ve had almost 10 days of intense stress now. There is a family crisis and I, being one of the saner ones in Eurasian Land, have become the mediator in the midst of a family squabble. *sigh* It’s everything to do with love and money. *sigh*

THEN. Tee is going through a tough time at school. For some reason, this new school that I’ve put her in, just doesn’t gel with her personality. She is too headstrong for their approach and this always gets her into trouble. So we’re off to another new school soon. *sigh*

She had a mild flu last week and till today still wakes up several times a night to go to the washroom. It is so exhausting for me as I already spend hours listening to depressing thoughts as agony aunt every single day. Very tiring.

Then today, I recieved a call from a lady (who sounded like she was from China) and she told me that my husband had failed to turn up in court on such a date and as such, needs to show up in the High Court next week. Firstly, her English accent was SOOOOOOOO bad that it took a whole 15 minutes to comprehend what the hell she was going on about. When I finally got it, it was to do with my husband being in a money laundering scam and he needed to go to court. They wanted to speak to my husband.

At this point, I was wondering how come a China lady gets to call from the High Court and not a Malaysian, and was very suspicious. I refused to give the lady my husband’s phone number (mind you, they called my house phone and not the mobile, probably due to fear of caller ID) and told her that we haven’t received anything in writing. I almost wanted to shout at her because I didn’t have a clue what the hell she was going on about and it was so difficult to understand her Ah Chong Ah Kow accent.

She then told me to hang up and leave the phone free for the chief inspector of Bukit Aman would call me up. Five minutes later, chief inspector Yong called (also a Chinese sounding guy) to ask me very seriously for my husband’s contacts. I said my husband was busy and he could write to him if need be. He said he needed to talk to my husband as my husband was charged and involved in an Ah Long case and this was very serious.

WHAT!!! What rubbish!!!

After much persistence of trying to get my husband’s number, he finally said that he would find my husband face-to-face to question him as he had all our addresses and details (including IC number). So I said OK, go ahead. Go to his office. Then I told him, mind you though, before you called, I’d already called the police and they have recorded this call and your call is already in the process of being traced. He got a bit defensive and asked, “Do you know Bukit Aman??? I am calling from Bukit Aman, you know!!” I said I knew what Bukit Aman was, and that the police were recording this call anyway. I also told him I was going to call the police again immediately after and he quickly said thank you very much and hung up.

Can you believe this? I already have enough stress and now this crap happens!!! What is this world coming to??? People are so desperate that ALL kinds of scams are rampant!!! Beware people!!!! What is happening to Malaysia???!!!!

So how have I stayed alive? Through lots of Reiki……..Thank goodness for Reiki.
