Malaysians are a selfish lot. I know this because I have been at the fore front of asking. Asking for donations, asking for help, asking for business, asking for charitable causes; and you know what? Malaysians are a selfish lot. Especially the ones who can more afford it, I kid you not! There is a standing joke that states that it is how they get rich in the first place – by being stingy. But you know, how far can one get living a superficial life of all the money in the world? If you’ve had a taste of the high life, you will know this. But if you haven’t, you keep working on getting there when really, it is a futile exercise in this lifetime for when you die, none of these material things go with you.
Ever since I visited Myanmar, my focus and priorities in this life has altered tremendously too and I will be forever grateful for that. I have a purpose and I know where I’m headed. I am clear on what I want for my kids. And let me tell you how amazing things can get when you genuinely start caring about others. It is almost like God puts us all on this big test, for some, it is a lifetime of tests because they keep failing!
For me, I believe that my life has been a blessing because I do the right things. Without sounding righteous, I will help people wherever I can. It is just me paying it forward. I am so thankful for everything that I have.
Currently, apart from loving my entire family with unconditional ferocity, I need to help the following:-
1. Baby Adele’s plight – Adele was diagnosed with Microcephaly when she turned 2 months old. She had multiple spots of calcification in her brain suspected to be caused by the CMV Virus infection. She has been accepted to be treated by a team of medical experts in Philadelphia and needs funds to get her there regularly over a series of months/years. She has a closed facebook page that you can try joining or she has a blog you can follow where you can get details if you would like to contribute. There is also a Halloween party being organised for kids in raising funds for Baby Adele. More details to follow.
2. Myanmar Kids – Some of the kids at Hosanna Home have been pulled out of school because they no longer have the funds to go to school. We are in the process of printing desk calendars for sale in order to raise some funds for them so they can go back to school. More details to follow.
3. Sun Yoga Kota Kinabalu needs your help in making the dream of one woman come true. If you’ve ever been down and needed some help, you would know how it feels when life sucks the living daylights out of you. Who is Mamapumpkin?
Mamapumpkin spent 7 years in London committing crimes to gain her Bartlett degree in Architecture. She then spent 7 years as a Stay At Home Mom raising her children as documented in this blog of over 15 years thereafter returning to the Corporate World stronger than ever as the Country Director of a British Multinational. She sets out to prove to all, that you can have anything and everything that you want; if you have that fire of desire burning within and the drive to work hard. Even better with much love.
Mamapumpkin has not only grown corporate businesses successfully in the past but has grown not one but TWO network marketing businesses in the notorious MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) industry, achieving success in under 2 years. She believes in the MLM business model but realises the DRASTIC PITFALLS and great stigma attached to it, understanding EXACTLY WHY the majority would shy away (or RUN for their lives) from ANY MLM business. But open your eyes and take time to understand it intellectually, remove your hang-ups, confirm your research, and you may just want to seize an opportunity. She did. And no, she never went about chasing people for sales. She had a sophisticated system work for her through technology and a smartphone.
She now impacts lives authentically with proven strategies amassed through the last decade of her own transformation offering online coaching programmes and always supports the underprivileged. She believes that we can all have a life of our own desires to enable real contribution into the world. But first, one needs to understand what this all means.
