It’s been almost four exciting years and look how she has grown!!!

My little Tee was born a feisty chilli padi and was the LOUDEST baby in the entire ward of about twenty five babies. Today, she is still as feisty and still as LOUD. But now, she talks and moves and thinks! Recently, she attended a holiday programme at Insight Kids where they work on the weakest area of your child’s brain or develop a particular area of a child’s brain that you wish. Mind you, it was SHE who asked to go for the holiday programme after going there for a trial class a few weeks earlier. For some reason, she loved the toys and teachers there; so despite having to spend money for her to go, we thought oh, what the heck, since she wanted to go so much, I wouldn’t mind having her out of my hair, haha!!

Each day going there, she would come home telling me all the fun things they did like be a hairdresser to the teacher and style their teacher’s hair in a hairstyling competition, learning about not showing off, learning how to control their feelings, learning lots of fun things that involved all four quadrants of the brain. Do you know what they are? Well, I didn’t……

Apparently, the top left of your brain is the analytical part which controls your aptitude and logical thought. The top right is the creativity section, the bottom left controls your organisational skills and the bottom right, your emotional well-being. Tee has been identified as a child who is top left and right brain, which is EXACTLY like me. Her weakest link was the emotional section.

Whatever school your child goes to, they will be lacking in one or two parts of the brain activity because the more you use a particular section of your brain, the more you will continue that section of the brain. So what this school aims to do is to allow your child a chance to practise the part of his brain that is not used so often. Makes sense? I thought so.

After a week there, the school reported that Tee does not like sharing. What a spoilt brat, eh? And when forced to share, she does it with a ‘mata-jeling’ (evil eyes). *sigh* How embarrasing. And basically whenever she doesn’t get her way, she will huff and puff and unwillingly give in. My girl really needs to learn how not to be such a princess. She is SO spoilt……..

Other than that, all else was well. I like the school and have confidence that Tee will benefit from it’s programme because it is developed by in-house child psychologists.

And no, she never went about chasing people for sales. She had a sophisticated system work for her through technology and a smartphone.

She now impacts lives authentically with proven strategies amassed through the last decade of her own transformation offering online coaching programmes and always supports the underprivileged. She believes that we can all have a life of our own desires to enable real contribution into the world. But first, one needs to understand what this all means.
