Some weeks ago, I posted this onto my facebook page saying that the kids were driving me nuts so I decided to tie and gag them. I knew I was getting myself into a tick when I posted it but I continued nevertheless, and of course, despite getting into some mud, I am again posting it here to an even larger audience. Call me a rebel.

What do you see when you see this? Do you see child abuse? Most found it funny but a handful did not. Some actually took it very seriously suggesting I was teaching my kids the wrong thing by doing this. What if they got kidnapped and they thought it was part of a game?

My kids will not think that, I promise you. They have been taught to be safe. They have been taught right from wrong. They have been taught how to try to escape and what to do in the event that they DO get kidnapped. They might not succeed but that’s another thing altogether.

The kids had a ball of a time when I tied them up. They released themselves in under 2 minutes and the tape over the mouth did not keep them shut at all. The next time they make me cross, they might end up in prison.
