I am having bad asthma in KL right now, in fact for the last 3 weeks. It started with the haze and everything’s gone downhill since then. I use my inhalers about 30 times a day, having up to a few attacks every day. The worst is usually at about 3-4am where I’d wake up choking. If I were in the UK, I’d be hospitalised already. They take asthma very seriously over there which caused me to be hospitalised every winter. Dang!
MY INHALER: NEVER LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT
A good friend just reminded me a few nights ago that he actually visited me in hospital in London and reminisced the good ol’ days as kids. We did the funniest, craziest things as kids. I snuck out once from University College Hospital (hope they don’t see this!) to go shopping on Oxford Street (closest shopping area!) with the help of my Cambridge friend. She took really good care of the patient, don’t worry.
Imagine making explosives from Science knowledge and shooting them into places where you shouldn’t? One guy had stolen road signs all collected into his dorm room as part of his interior decor. We once chopped down a huge Christmas Tree from some park up in Hampstead and literally fit it into our car with the tree horizontally on our laps sticking out of the windows on both rear windows. When we got home, we couldn’t fit it through our front door! So we left it outside…..those days, having bad asthma in KL wasn’t an issue. Getting caught was!
There are so many crazy stories in my youth and I shudder when I think of what my daughters might get up to when they are of age!!
Having bad asthma in KL is not a good thing. I’ve been meaning to see the Doctor for some steroid meds but I just haven’t had time!
The meds I need is so expensive! About RM300 for this purple contraption. Anyone get a discount ??? Already I have a lifetime bill with Ventolin and I have one in every room at home which gets replenished every so often. And to think that it might actually be the Meds that could kill me one day as my friend’s grandfather died of a Ventolin overdose after all.
Last night the Hubs said, “Put the baby to sleep and make an effort to go to Pantai for the nebuliser!” but by the time baby slept, I wanted to sleep too. So, it’s been 3 weeks of having bad asthma in KL now. The air must be bloody crap.

Mamapumpkin has not only grown corporate businesses successfully in the past but has grown not one but TWO network marketing businesses in the notorious MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) industry, achieving success in under 2 years. She believes in the MLM business model but realises the DRASTIC PITFALLS and great stigma attached to it, understanding EXACTLY WHY the majority would shy away (or RUN for their lives) from ANY MLM business. But open your eyes and take time to understand it intellectually, remove your hang-ups, confirm your research, and you may just want to seize an opportunity. She did. And no, she never went about chasing people for sales. She had a sophisticated system work for her through technology and a smartphone.
She now impacts lives authentically with proven strategies amassed through the last decade of her own transformation offering online coaching programmes and always supports the underprivileged. She believes that we can all have a life of our own desires to enable real contribution into the world. But first, one needs to understand what this all means.
A beautiful life without limits.

Most lose out on an opportunity because they are afraid they would be sold to, conned or whatever fear resides in their brain without even trying. And that's on them.

oh dear, sorry to hear this. i hope you are feeling better now. have you gone to see the doctor? i went to get a neubulizer abt a week ago when i started to wheeze. darn ventolin made my hands shook for half a day 🙁 does it happen to you? on top of that, i didn’t realize that i was using an expired inhaler and the doctor chided me 😛
My daughter has the same problem and I HATE waiting in Pantai for nebs – they are literally slower than snails there even in the ER!!!! Why don’t you get a nebuliser for home? Not as effective as an oxygen driven neb, but works well enough. I also sourced for bigger clinics where they do oxygen delivered nebs as well to spare me the pain of waiting in Pantai 😛 Best of luck!
Will you get exceed doses for using ventolin 30 times a day?? I thought the most is 4-6 hourly? It is better you get the doctor check on you.
rm300 for seretide ONLY? isnt that exorbitantly overpriced? cant u just get it at a retail pharmacy?
anyway, tc!
