I have many weaknesses but one of them which I am determined to conquer is discipline. I am totally hopeless when it comes to discipline. I’m not sure why either.
Perhaps it stems from my childhood in that my parents never forced me to study. Actually, they never forced me to do anything, not that forcing your child to do something is condoned! Somehow, the practice of discipline was not taught nor shown and well, discipline was never a part of my life.
However, I have since learnt that in order to progress and succeed (whatever your definition of succeed is), you NEED discipline.
Discipline is defined as being able to do something when you really don’t want to do it. Like study, or exercise, or complete that work assignment on time, or stop eating chocolate. On the flip side of discipline is complete laziness, which I totally am!
That needs to change. I have a mission now and that means learning some discipline. I will take baby steps in challenging myself, whether it is not watching TV for a whole month, or having a no handphone day, or not eating dessert for a whole week, or waking up at 7am every morning, you name it. Baby steps……..
And whilst I am on my journey towards a more disciplined life, I am already starting to teach my girls the act of being disciplined. We can all have fun but we also need to work. We all need to do some things that we don’t like doing because hey, that’s bloody life. It is far better to suffer the pain of being disciplined now than to regret the act of not being disciplined later.
My goal is to balance my time as ALL MY LIFE, I have been a frigging workaholic. I need to sleep more, stress less and spend more time with my kids. All it takes is a little discipline.

And no, she never went about chasing people for sales. She had a sophisticated system work for her through technology and a smartphone.
She now impacts lives authentically with proven strategies amassed through the last decade of her own transformation offering online coaching programmes and always supports the underprivileged. She believes that we can all have a life of our own desires to enable real contribution into the world. But first, one needs to understand what this all means.
