I am such a lenient employer that I sometimes give my helper a choice to either follow me out or stay home. She always, ALWAYS chooses to stay home when given that choice (which is almost all the time unless I feel I really need her! Hey, I like my privacy too.). Going out with me means work. Staying at home could mean work or it could mean rest. I really don’t mind either way as long as things are in order. She is only human and needs rest and off days too. And of course, when I struggle like hell with 2 kids in a busy mall alone, I go fuck-fuck-fuck. Why didn’t I bring her?!!! Stoopid!!!

However, when I decided to do a spot check one day, I found that all she did all day was cook her own meals and change one bedroom’s bed sheet. The rest of the day was spent inside her room. How do I know this? We have a CCTV installed in our living room, the kitchen and in the kids bedroom. It’s OK. Maybe it was her off day.
