T1’s Lego Creations

When we were in Kota Bharu, we visited the Thai border where smuggled goods are brought into Malaysia at very cheap prices and T2 saw TOYS!!! Since they were those cheap Made in China toys, I got them some rubbish toys to entertain them briefly. One of it was a trolley bag full of cheap lego.

Usually, T1 would just get on with it and play her Lego but one particular morning, she kept asking me what she should make next! My first thought was to ask her to make something difficult so that would keep her quiet for longer (haha) so I asked her to make a flying car.

After only 5 minutes (DAMN!), she came back with this.

My immediate critique of it was that a tall structure like that was not inducive to flying. I began explaining the physics to her of an aeroplane but she caught me short and said, “Oh, don’t worry! The driver just needs to press a button and the top structure will slowly collapse into horizontal position!”

Hmm….I wonder if that came out on the spur or if it was thought out. My T1, she has an answer for EVERYTHING. She is never wrong and every time anyone finds fault with her work or herself, she ALWAYS has an answer for WHY things are the way they are. Even my brother in law who never sees her nor speaks to her except in Kota Bharu commented that she was born to be a lawyer.

Just some other examples of T1’s smart ass mouth:

Whilst driving past One Utama one day, she saw the ToysRus logo and excitedly said, “Hey! There’s a ToysRus in One Utama!” My poor girls….always confined to Bangsar and Pavi that they hardly see the light of day in the outer circles.

I told her, “There’s a ToysRus everywhere!” meaning in most of the malls, right?

And she just had to say, “Oh. There must be one in our parking basement then.” Talk about being sarky.

One day, whilst I was tidying up the house, I started scolding her for leaving her rubbish all over the place. She loves drawing and doing art and craft and will collect all kinds of boxes, cardboard, toilet roll holders etc just so she can invent all her little projects but she leaves the mess everywhere whenever she gets distracted, or would draw on heaps of paper and they lie all over the place. She’s a pack rat! In my heat of telling her off, she charged to start picking up her stuff and said, “If my art is of no value to you then just throw them out la.”

HER EXACT WORDS.

In my day, I would have just received a slap across my face.

I’d just bought a G bag that I could thrash around and when I saw a thread lose, I gave a big sigh as the bag was new. The Hubs was quick to quip, “I already told you, you’re just wasting money on brand names!” not having a clue which bag I was using that day.

“This isn’t for a name! This is a cheap bag! This would never have happened to my C bag!”

Then T1 had to join us which NOBODY asked her to do, “But it already has!”

I looked at her slightly worried that she’d noticed a lose thread off my C bag (look of horror!), “What do you mean?”

“You’ve only had the C bag for barely 2 months and it’s already out of shape!” My God. How does she make such an observation? O_o

And the Hubs and his smart ass daughter walk out the door with a smug on their faces……whilst little T2 runs to me, holds my hand and says, “Mama, I yuv C bag?”

Bless.

This was a dog – haha!

This was a Courtyard.

And her final piece before Ama called was a Parking Garage for her car.
