Whenever we go back to Kota Bharu, it’s R&R time for everyone. We don’t bring any toys, no ipads, not even books as if anyone wanted to read, Amah’s book case has tons of English classics from the Hubs childhood. So how do the kids entertain themselves everyday without toys nor TV? They don’t watch an ounce of TV because Kong-Kong is the keeper of the remote control and because he only watches Mandarin channels, the kids aren’t interested.
Over just TWO days………..this is what they did:
They played with Amah’s old empty card board boxes of all shapes and sizes. Here, they are on a bus on the way to their new home. They pretended that they were moving house…..
.
Here, they were packing the boxes in preparation for the big move.
.
They performed for their grandparents…….T1’s concert moves singing Colbie Callait’s I Do.
.
Then, T2 sang another song…..my girls, they just LOVE the limelight!!!
.
They both had a hair cut in the garden……
.
LOL – What’s with the frown, T2? Hair Stylist not good enough for you??? *hands clenched below*
.
Ohhhh…..she’s taking time away from your play time…….I get it. *hands folded*
.
T1 flew real kites………..and T2 flew her own home-made paper kite.
.
We rode bicycles…..even me! Kong-Kong repaired the Hubs old bicycle (can you imagine!!!) so we three got to ride up and down the drive-way. WAY FUNNNNNN!!!! But guess what? The next day, the big bike no longer worked. It took us awhile to figure it out but it turned out I was too heavy for the bike and the metal frame that went over the back wheel got dented and bent out of shape so that caused friction with the back tyre. THAT’s why it no longer worked. How embarrassing!!! Kong-Kong said he’ll have to take it back to the shop and see if they can bang it back into shape. Aiyo!!!
They’re keeping it because it was a bicycle from England!! I’d just throw it out……but there are lessons here to be learnt. What an amazing thing to be able to say I’m riding my dad’s old bicycle or driving my dad’s old car…..just imagine the history that has gone behind them. Antique gems, yo!
.
The girls spent late nights chatting to their grandmother.
.
And made their grandfather do physical work playing horse-y!!! Poor old Kong-Kong with the big 27 kilo passenger!!!
.
T2 learnt how to share her precious champagne grapes with her baby cousin.
.
Whilst T1’s daily task was to fold all the cloth nappies for her baby cousin.
.
The girls tried skinny dipping!!! (because Mama forgot to pack their swimmies). So everyone decided oh, what the heck! They stripped and were more than happy to jump in…….T1 took awhile though. She was the slow teaser…..going in first with her shorts, then slowly removing piece by piece when she found it too inconvenient to move around in water with baggy wet clothes.
.
They relaxed……………
.
They had fun………………
.
And because they were naked, T2 had a surprise for us. Because she was sooooooooo relaxed and having so much fun, her poo came out naturally……..into the pool, unlike our usual day long constipated grief! You really should have been there to hear the screams that came when we finally lifted T2 out of the pool to go for a shower only to discover the chocolate ‘poo’ balls under her bum!
GOOD TIMES!!!
**************************************************************************Who is Mamapumpkin?
Mamapumpkin spent 7 years in London committing crimes to gain her Bartlett degree in Architecture. She then spent 7 years as a Stay At Home Mom raising her children as documented in this blog of over 15 years thereafter returning to the Corporate World stronger than ever as the Country Director of a British Multinational. She sets out to prove to all, that you can have anything and everything that you want; if you have that fire of desire burning within and the drive to work hard. Even better with much love.
Mamapumpkin has not only grown corporate businesses successfully in the past but has grown not one but TWO network marketing businesses in the notorious MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) industry, achieving success in under 2 years. She believes in the MLM business model but realises the DRASTIC PITFALLS and great stigma attached to it, understanding EXACTLY WHY the majority would shy away (or RUN for their lives) from ANY MLM business. But open your eyes and take time to understand it intellectually, remove your hang-ups, confirm your research, and you may just want to seize an opportunity. She did. And no, she never went about chasing people for sales. She had a sophisticated system work for her through technology and a smartphone.
She now impacts lives authentically with proven strategies amassed through the last decade of her own transformation offering online coaching programmes and always supports the underprivileged. She believes that we can all have a life of our own desires to enable real contribution into the world. But first, one needs to understand what this all means.
A beautiful life without limits.
If you wish to learn some tools to propel your life forward guaranteed, be brave enough to make contact as her life's purpose is to build people. She operates through a discovery call after which she will commit to helping you. Or not.
Most lose out on an opportunity because they are afraid they would be sold to, conned or whatever fear resides in their brain without even trying. And that's on them.
Mamapumpkin is a living testimony that women really can have a lot. Being financially and time free has enabled her to travel the world anytime, anywhere, doing anything, and she spends most of her days with her children, having fun, and supporting others wherever she can. Also having fun.

You sure are blessed to have such loving & wonderful inlaws that are so active. May they be blessed with good health. Such lovely wonderful pics of the kids (but not the last poop pic though!).
hahaha, the pics of T2 getting her hair cut is so funny. she looks so not happy.
hey, i have a wooden horse head tricycle which my aunt is still keeping because it came from England too. I rode on it (when I was a toddler) and my kids rode on it (when we went back to KL). When my PJ neighbor saw it, while my aunt was drying it in the sun after cleaning it, he said it is now an antique. These things must keep.
Funny story abt u spoiling the wheels.
too cute !! sounds like a lovely CNY!
