I’ve been waiting MONTHS. Have any of you husbands who just dragggggggggggggggggg…………….. on the house To Do List? Do you nag him? Do you drop subtle hints? Do you command and threaten that they complete tasks at hand, or else? When I married the Hubs, I was real proud that he was an expert handyman. He could fix anything. If we ever had to move abroad, we’d have absolutely no problems. The Hubs has a mind that knows how to work things out and hands that fix things perfectly. I don’t know any other man who can do that. And I’ve known a LOT of men.
But, now that we’re on our 10th year together, as good as he can fix things, he is taking a long time to get them done. Here are just SOME of the stuff that needs fixing at my home.
.
.
Tee was given this name board to put in her room. A friend sent it all the way from Bangkok, you’d never find her name in KL (I know, I’ve been looking). I’ve put my foot next to it to show you it’s scale. Incidentally, the Chinese have a saying that should your second toe be longer than your big toe, it means that you will control your husband and are very stubborn. Can you see that mine isn’t? No wonder this task hasn’t been done yet. Tee’s is though – WAY LONGER THAN HER BIG TOE!!! Poor future husband. The Hubs is supposed to HANG THIS UP on Tee’s wall since she was born. She is now 3 years old.
.
.
This is a photo frame from Thailand that has some of our wedding pictures in it. It was standing on a long table and the back stand that supports it broke. The Hubs needs to glue it back. I’m still waiting…….why don’t I do it? I don’t know how??!!! I’m ignorant that way as he always says……have blonde hair. The Chinese also believe that when your wedding picture falls and breaks, there is trouble in your marriage. There will certainly be trouble if he doesn’t fix this soon. I will cause it!
.
.
See? I tried putting these photos up on our wall myself. But the bloody hook wouldn’t stay in the wall. So I’ve left it and requested for the Hubs to finish it up. I did try…..This half finished job has been in a mess like this for a month.
.
.
The Hubs agreed to polish my handbag because he claimed that if I did it, I would completely ruin it. He couldn’t stand to see dollars get ruined. So he took it out and did it half way saying it needed a few more rounds. It’s been a few months. I’m still waiting to use my old handbag.
.
.
This is Tee’s wall. She puts all her stuff on the wall because she likes displaying her work. The Van Gogh isn’t by her, of course. But you see that piece of paper that’s hanging off the wall? It is too high for me to reach, even with a ladder. It’s a one second job but it’s still hanging.
.
.
Most important of all, the lights in our living room has blown. See the left tube? It needs a light bulb replacement. I can’t reach our high ceiling even when I stand at the top of our 6 feet ladder. There is only one person who can fix it.
.
.
This is the other light in the living room. The middle light has blown. So now we have a very DARK living room. Makes me mad. Drives me nuts.
.
.
OK, enough ranting. I feel better. Let’s see how fast these tasks get done before I start exposing more hubby secrets.
*evil laughter*
**************************************************************************Who is Mamapumpkin?
Mamapumpkin spent 7 years in London committing crimes to gain her Bartlett degree in Architecture. She then spent 7 years as a Stay At Home Mom raising her children as documented in this blog of over 15 years thereafter returning to the Corporate World stronger than ever as the Country Director of a British Multinational. She sets out to prove to all, that you can have anything and everything that you want; if you have that fire of desire burning within and the drive to work hard. Even better with much love.
Mamapumpkin has not only grown corporate businesses successfully in the past but has grown not one but TWO network marketing businesses in the notorious MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) industry, achieving success in under 2 years. She believes in the MLM business model but realises the DRASTIC PITFALLS and great stigma attached to it, understanding EXACTLY WHY the majority would shy away (or RUN for their lives) from ANY MLM business. But open your eyes and take time to understand it intellectually, remove your hang-ups, confirm your research, and you may just want to seize an opportunity. She did. And no, she never went about chasing people for sales. She had a sophisticated system work for her through technology and a smartphone.
She now impacts lives authentically with proven strategies amassed through the last decade of her own transformation offering online coaching programmes and always supports the underprivileged. She believes that we can all have a life of our own desires to enable real contribution into the world. But first, one needs to understand what this all means.
A beautiful life without limits.
If you wish to learn some tools to propel your life forward guaranteed, be brave enough to make contact as her life's purpose is to build people. She operates through a discovery call after which she will commit to helping you. Or not.
Most lose out on an opportunity because they are afraid they would be sold to, conned or whatever fear resides in their brain without even trying. And that's on them.
Mamapumpkin is a living testimony that women really can have a lot. Being financially and time free has enabled her to travel the world anytime, anywhere, doing anything, and she spends most of her days with her children, having fun, and supporting others wherever she can. Also having fun.
