I’ve been super busy still. Juggling Tee and my own work deadlines, housework, cooking and laundry…..it really is no picnic. I visited a newborn baby today and felt real clucky after. Tomorrow I am having guests. Saturday, my cousin arrives for a whole week and stays with me. Then we have two house viewings in the afternoon and dinner after, and then a drive to KLIA.

It seems that the calendar is on a perpetual all time full and there are just not enough hours in a day to complete all tasks.

So in the midst of all this busyness, I baked some chocolate brownies today – cut out a whole load of sugar and they were perfect. I needed something therapeutic to do to calm the internal chaos and Tee was pleading for it. We wrapped them as little gifts with ribbons so Tee could feed her school friends tomorrow. And because I do this, I am labelled as the Goddess of Domesticity……

Women talk behind my back about how ‘perfect’ I am. They use the word ‘perfect’ in many forms but ultimately to suggest that I do so much for Tee, sometimes too much. But who’s to say? Do I have to apologise for my ‘perfection’? I am certainly not perfect. Far from it. It just so happens that I love doing certain things and just because they don’t do it, why knock me? I don’t judge them?! Furthermore, I can’t help it if Tee is ahead of everyone in class. It’s not like I spend my time drilling her at home with academics. Puhleeze, I’m busy enough as it is. She just happens to be a bright kid. It’s genetic. Live with it. I’m not jealous of my friends with super-smart kids, super fat wallets, super hot bodies, super gorgeous faces or super happy happiness?! So please just leave me alone…….

And then there is the issue of what I know and who I know. Sometimes, it is just easier when you have a wallflower as a child, don’t know anything and don’t know anyone. Because women love to talk. As it is, Tee is, dare I say, the most popular girl in class and many of her friends want to come to her house to play with her. I would love entertaining everyone but I have chores to do and work to complete. And on that one day if I had one friend over, then some feel a slide. Why does it have to be that way? Why can’t we just have more positive women in the world?

I need to stay away from negativity. I do. I do!
