This is the Baby and Beyond Pediatricians Clinic at Bangsar Village 2.
.
It has been my dream to have a separate playroom solely dedicated for play. It doesn’t have to be a big room but it is has to be conducive to play. I have always wondered why my home has so many toys when my girls are quite happy to keep going back to the Baby and Beyond clinic that has some great basics. Of course, it also has that great big mural that is colourful and fun akin to being in child’s paradise but seriously now, I am planning to get rid of ALL our toys and keep only some good basics.
Like the doll house and the train set. On top of that, we’ll keep all the life play stuff like the dolls and the hoover and the doll’s cupboard and potty and bed and playpen and ironing board and washing machine and God knows what else those lucky dolls have! We’ll also keep the cars and blocks (including Lego) but that’s about it. Everything else goes. Oh, and the big driving car, of course, with its accompanying home made petrol pump.
See? At Baby and Beyond, they have these few quality basics and they really work. So if you’re a new parent and want to set up a toy room, these are my recommendations. Rather than spend thousands on a million toys, just get some great basics and children will be happy. And even if you don’t buy toys, trust me, they’ll find their own fun in playing with paper clips and paper and spoons from your kitchen drawer.
At Baby and Beyond, they have the great Double Decker bus from England with shining head lights and musical steering wheel and doors on both sides. This entire bus doubles up as their Reception Desk.
.
They have a life sized play house in a forest setting. What’s the book again? It’s from a story book. Here, T1 is happily preparing a meal for……
.
She sets the table……..
.
Very carefully…………
.
This is the life size IKEA kitchen which comes with microwave oven, stove and sink and baking oven with accompanying pots and pans, even crockery and cutlery. Full set around RM400 for the unit and another RM200 for paraphernalia. A great investment that children will use for years……..if I had space, I’d get it but I have no space. I’d paint it though so it doesn’t look like every other IKEA play kitchen. Or maybe put some stickers on them.
.
So whilst T1 cooks, baby sleeps………
.
They also have some baby toys, a musical educational play pad and the spinning blocks; chopping block and rolling pin. Which reminds me, I need a rolling pin. Where can I get a metal rolling pin?
.
Look! Scavenger attacking the food!
.
And after all that food, the responsible home-maker has the hoover to clean up spills…..
.
Look! There’s even a post-box! And some books to read below……..
.
And the post-box OPENS!!!! When T1 was 1.5 years old, we hand-made her a post box with a shoe box and wrapped it up with red paper. It was a great toy with a hole where she could post mail and cars and everything else.
.
So you see? With some great few basics (and you don’t even have to buy them for you can MAKE them), children are happy. I swear, my girls never get bored of the Baby and Beyond clinic for play. These few things – play house, life toys, a bus and a post box…….LOVE IT.

Who is Mamapumpkin?
Mamapumpkin spent 7 years in London committing crimes to gain her Bartlett degree in Architecture. She then spent 7 years as a Stay At Home Mom raising her children as documented in this blog of over 15 years thereafter returning to the Corporate World stronger than ever as the Country Director of a British Multinational. She sets out to prove to all, that you can have anything and everything that you want; if you have that fire of desire burning within and the drive to work hard. Even better with much love.
Mamapumpkin has not only grown corporate businesses successfully in the past but has grown not one but TWO network marketing businesses in the notorious MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) industry, achieving success in under 2 years. She believes in the MLM business model but realises the DRASTIC PITFALLS and great stigma attached to it, understanding EXACTLY WHY the majority would shy away (or RUN for their lives) from ANY MLM business. But open your eyes and take time to understand it intellectually, remove your hang-ups, confirm your research, and you may just want to seize an opportunity. She did. And no, she never went about chasing people for sales. She had a sophisticated system work for her through technology and a smartphone.
She now impacts lives authentically with proven strategies amassed through the last decade of her own transformation offering online coaching programmes and always supports the underprivileged. She believes that we can all have a life of our own desires to enable real contribution into the world. But first, one needs to understand what this all means.
A beautiful life without limits.
If you wish to learn some tools to propel your life forward guaranteed, be brave enough to make contact as her life's purpose is to build people. She operates through a discovery call after which she will commit to helping you. Or not.
Most lose out on an opportunity because they are afraid they would be sold to, conned or whatever fear resides in their brain without even trying. And that's on them.
Mamapumpkin is a living testimony that women really can have a lot. Being financially and time free has enabled her to travel the world anytime, anywhere, doing anything, and she spends most of her days with her children, having fun, and supporting others wherever she can. Also having fun.

I’m sure they will make a huge hole in your pocket after all the fun playing with the awesome toys!
Consultation wasn’t cheap, I recall. Plus Bryan was attended to by a locum. But like you said, it kept the other 2 younger ones busy, which is worth all the money in the world.
the place looks more like a playground than a clinic …. what an effort !!!
How I wish I have girls.. hihi.. I just cannot imagine whats for the boys… a play car services center?? Oh my…
