We watched Justin Bieber live in Kuala Lumpur…..yes.
In the first place, let me tell you, that for the longest time, I could not stand Justin Bieber. He was a kid I had utterly no interest in at all. And I love kids. Even big ones. But T1 and her entire class, they seemed to be sucked into the Bieber Fever for the whole of last year; singing BAYBEH-BAYBEH-BAYBEH-OHHHH……was oh, so COOOOOOOL.
They are SIX going on seven. I must’ve been a TEENAGER, a late one at that, before I attended my first LIVE concert. I think it was Kool and The Gang or The Miami Sound Machine. I also watched Janet Jackson in the UK but always regretted not attending a Madonna concert. Coming back to Bieber, oh yeah. I cannot stand his hair style. But learned at the concert at Stadium Merdeka that he’d cut it! He’d cut that awful fringe! PHEW.
So there we were, after 90 minutes crawling our way to the Stadium just in the nick of time, and then queuing up for another 30 minutes; by then, T1 had decided that she was done with concerts. It was hot, smelly and the body contact with sweaty wet bodies was enough to turn her off live concerts for good.
Still, she had a fabulous time with her school friends…..
The concert was short and sharp but more importantly, I was impressed with this teenage icon they called Justin Bieber! This 17 year old teenager had real talent! Yes, believe it or not. I never would have been interested in the least but now that I’d gotten to watch him live by default, I must say that this young punk, not only could sing really well, he could also DANCE really well and he had REAL stage presence. He could engage the audience. He had a troupe of well going marketeers behind him to teach him all the right things to say, which is my assumption, unless he is really just naturally clever.
Highlights of the evening apart from the amazing dance troupe, the amazing performances and the spunky magnet of a BOY, included the whole stadium singing the alphabet song (should have brought T2, haha!) and Justin Bieber saying he saw a lot of pretty girls in the stadium that evening. He was definitely facing our direction. *flicks hair*
He even sang Rock-A-Bye-Baby……when the audience were shouting out for BABY. They wanted the song BABY and he sang us Rock-A-Bye-Baby. Then he sang us Britney Spear’s Baby One More Time and some other songs from other artists that had the word Baby in it. What a tease…..
The audience were the youngest I’ve ever seen at a live concert comprising mostly TWEENS, I kid you not. Twelve to fifteen year old girls and YOUNGER. One lucky girl got called up onto stage and got to touch him. It was reported in the news the next day that she never wanted to wash her hands, or something to that effect. Oh, I remember the days I used to dream of Boy George. *hides in embarrassment*
Justin Bieber was GOOD.
REALLY GOOD.
I did not want the concert to end.
It was SO GOOD.
I wished I was 16 again. Oh, how I wished.
I can’t wait for the next concert in KL now. What’s next?
Alas, the Malaysian police and whoever it was who was responsible for managing road traffic, failed miserably resulting in lousy traffic jams and organisers failed to inform where to park, where to go, etc etc etc. So typically Malaysian.
But, we made it and T1 got to witness her first (and last?) LIVE concert. So all’s good.

But open your eyes and take time to understand it intellectually, remove your hang-ups, confirm your research, and you may just want to seize an opportunity. She did. And no, she never went about chasing people for sales. She had a sophisticated system work for her through technology and a smartphone.
She now impacts lives authentically with proven strategies amassed through the last decade of her own transformation offering online coaching programmes and always supports the underprivileged. She believes that we can all have a life of our own desires to enable real contribution into the world. But first, one needs to understand what this all means.
A beautiful life without limits.

Most lose out on an opportunity because they are afraid they would be sold to, conned or whatever fear resides in their brain without even trying. And that's on them.

Cool! I’d love to go watch too but the thought of being crushed by screaming little girls put me off! π
T1 didn’t do a banner for Bieber? Does she wanna marry him or not?
LoL. My friend brought her 3 kids there and was not looking forward to the concert initially. After embarrassing her kids big time, she came back converted as a Bieber fan. =P
