Tomorrow morning, T1 has a Penulisan Test. She has to write a page in Bahasa about a trip somewhere. Please God, pray for her that her essay doesn’t end up saying that the teacher farted on the way there, or that her friend choked on a lolly or that she cut the alligator up into pieces. Please pray for her that she keeps things simple and sticks to short sentences, because boy, is her mind bloody long-winded. And the more long-winded she gets, the worse her Bahasa sentence construction gets! Until it all becomes misconstrued!

Why is it that it is now called Penulisan and not Karangan? It’s almost like Writing versus Composition. Is it because the kids are too young to actually create a composition that they call it a writing exercise? So when does it become a Karangan then?

Who is Mamapumpkin?
Mamapumpkin spent 7 years in London committing crimes to gain her Bartlett degree in Architecture.
