I must say, I have never EVER bought a microwaveable meal in this country. EVER. At best, we have frozen pizza that can be reheated in the oven. So when T1’s Godfather informed us of his win at a recipe cooking competition (the Sri Kulai microwaveable HALAL ready to eat meals competition), I almost fell off my chair! This guy who comes from a family of doctors, we’ve known him for yonks and he’s never failed to impress. He also shares the same zodiac as the Hubs and perhaps that is why I love him so much…….
Starting out in commercial real estate, he stood out from the rest (you can find out why later) when I was shortlisting candidates to bed to help me succeed as Country Manager of a British multinational. I AM a Malaysian……
These days, he spends his time managing his assets in the background and dabbling in hobbies such as cooking and radio (he is a radio news reader!) and bird analysing in the foreground, amongst others. Having gone far in pursuit of his interests, he has proven his cooking skills in winning this competition (and mind you, he has completed several gourmet culinary courses) and has a deep, coarse voice perfect for radio but he is still in search of this very rare species of bird……(enquire within for details).
He has lost tens of kilos in record time and is a real inspiration to me for going that direction. In fact, I just saw him run 7km straight this morning and hired him on the spot as my personal trainer. He even comes with a bodyguard who can take care of T2 whilst I hit the tracks but unfortunately, he is only free one day of the week – better than nothing, I guess! He doesn’t come cheap but guaranteed worth it. Watch me strut the Herve Legers soon, baybeh….
But yes, our own Godpa (hear that, you over in Amsterdam!), has beaten many, many women all over Malaysia to win this Sri Kulai microwaveable HALAL ready to eat meals recipe cooking competition and for that, you may think he’s from the other side, but faaaaaaaar from that. Godpa has won with his spicy tomato chicken recipe and this will be retailing out in supermarkets very soon so look out for it at the frozen food section!!!
I’ll be trying it out soon and will pass on my seasoned chilli palette reviews of the Sri Kulai microwaveable HALAL ready to eat meals.
